- I am thankful for another day of physical life and the chance to grow and to be love
for self and others….
and to celebrate life whether I am alone or in the company of loved ones or friends…
I am thankful for my loved ones, my friends, the strangers who crossed my path…
I am thankful for my love of writing and that of others as we enrich one another through our diversity and the gift of the written word…
Happy Thanksgiving! We can always find something to be thankful for no matter what we are experiencing in the moment.
And we do not need a holiday to be thankful, every day is sacred. Wishing my friends who celebrate Thanksgiving and those who do not, a day filled with love and gratitude.
Happy thanksgiving from Canada to you 🙂
Thank you! ::waving from Oregon::::: Have a loved filled day of gratitude yourself. 🙂
Absolutely will! 🙂
Thanks, Marie. Beautiful post.
Happy Thanksgiving . . . may it be filled with peace, joy, love, and laughter.
Nancy, May you also have a peace filled Thanksgiving with much joy and love. 🙂
Marie, that was lovely…and something I’m so incredibly thankful for…my “big brother,” who is often homeless because he feels so unsafe inside…he has a home now where he can go inside when it gets too cold to be safe outside. He still continues to be an incredibly kind, gentle, loving person…so I’m thankful for that. He truly is a teacher for many and is deeply valued and watched over by kind and loving friends in the community where he lives. I’m also thankful that I’m learning that I can live with the deep sadness about that….. that it has happened and I can still learn to live my life and be thankful for what I do have.
Kathy, Your sharing about your brother touched me. We don’t know why we choose the roles we do in life, but in the end they all are part of the perfection of Life. I too had an older brother who was gifted but he was not mentally stable and in his case made many negative, dark choices in life. In the end when he healed himself and became a dedicated missionary helping the poor in a town in the mountains in South America, he passed away two years after. The community loved him very much and buried him. At least he died after he had made peace with himself. May your brother be always loved, protected and guided.
Thank you, Marie…. how interesting that I mentioned my brother to you….I don’t often mention him. How special that your brother had a few years of living where he was able to help others and to feel loved, appreciated and valued….any amount of time living that way is precious. I guess each of us knows a certain kind of sadness about brothers. I hope my own brother will be able to feel “loved, protected and guided.”…thank you so much for that wish. : )
Kathy, You are welcome. I also hardly ever talk about my brother but glad we shared. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving Marie, though where I come from this holiday does not exist 🙂
Thanks, Veeh! Still I wish you a happy day with love and gratitude. 🙂
Thanks Marie, just post some turkey pictures, I hear people eat themselves crazy 😉
Hahaha, it is a feast for sure! My s/o and I are having ham only with two side dishes and dessert as he doesn’t care too much for turkey. 🙂

Thank you sufilight. I was moved by comments about brothers and the homeless. I just want to offer thanks for these brave and masterful souls who have chosen this challenging life path. I have learned so much from people who have been homeless. I can say that they have been my teachers. Gratitude, Cyrus
Cyrus, I join in my gratitude with you for all the teachers in our path. In Gratitude, Marie
I love this time of year when people slow down and acknowledge reasons to be thankful.
By the way, I love the pictures you chose for this post 🙂
There is so much to be thankful for that I encourage friends and family to be thankful for being alive. Thanks fo noticing the photos, when I started to look for photos was not sure what will show up and the butterflies caught my attention. 🙂
