I hardly watch the news or read disturbing articles, but occasionally my curiosity gets the best of me, it saddens me to read of man’s inhumanity to another.
Yet, in the midst of the darkness, there is also light. The best way to balance this world is by being light bearers and extending love, prayers and positive thoughts to the planet and to our brothers and sisters.
This quote by Bryon Katie is a reminder of the importance of doing inner work so that we let go of our internal negativity and become a force of peace unto this world:
“A teacher of fear can’t bring peace on Earth. We have been trying to do it that way for thousands of years. The person who turns inner violence around, the person who finds peace inside and lives it, is the one who teaches what true peace is. We are waiting for just one teacher.
You’re the one”
Let’s choose love over fear!
Good thoughts, Marie. Like you, man’s inhumanity to man and other sentient beings is disheartening. We have vast room for improvement.
Nancy, Yes, there is much room for improvement, and hopefully at some point, even if it’s thousands of years from now, mankind will function from a place of higher awareness.
What a lovely song and the pictures are just so awesome! I choose love any day. Thanks for such an inspiring message! Such a great way to start my day.
Veeh, If I made at least one person’s day, I have done my job of spreading the love and good vibes. 🙂 I have listened to that song many times for the past few years as it always lifts me up.
Marie, I also enjoy Byron Katie…quite an inspiration. It’s a delight to hear you continue in a voice of encouragement. I have wonderfully positive people in my life, but there is always room for one more 🙂 Debra
Debra, Thank you for your kind words. 🙂 I love WordPress, I have connected to wonderful human beings and talented writers. I am grateful for this.
Marie, this is such a hopeful post and such a beautiful, beautiful song and video…thank you for your encouraging words and inspiration…
Kathy, So glad you enjoyed it. I always like to remain hopeful and positive, reason why I like to read your perspectives. 🙂
Dear Marie- What an inspiring post! The video and the music are so uplifting! I have a sign in my office -that spells out FEAR- F=False, E=Evidence, A=Appearing, R=Real. Somehow this helps myself and many others to remember only LOVE is real. Thank you for your positive site! Peace- Beth & the Girls
Hi Beth, Oooh, I like that sign you have in your office because that IS what fear can be: our imagination getting carried away. It’s the equivalent of seeing a rope in a corner and thinking it’s a snake. Thanks for your support! 🙂
Beautiful and truthful post Marie, thanks for reminding me today. Love heals anything ~ Blessings xx
HiYamyah, Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.:) May your week be blessed with love~
thank you for sprinkling the love.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you.
Marie: Is the photo Mt Hood? I can’t tell the differences between the 5 Cascade sisters. It’s beautiful, whichever mountain it is. I’m blessed to have Mt Rainier towering beyond me on my way home, just before the hill crests. If I’m lucky, the stoplight will turn red, and I can sit and admire the mountain’s beauty and grandeur for a few minutes. It appears to be just a short skip and hop away, but actually is about 100 miles in the distance. It’s especially beautiful just before sunset. It always amazes me that, no matter what’s happening in our lives, the mountain is there, seemingly in a state of quiet observation. Great post, thanks for sharing!
Hi Janet, this particular mountain, I am not sure where it is. My s/o and I did have a cabin in Mt Hood until a year and a half ago when we sold the cabin. We still can see Mt Hood from the front entrance of our home which is miles away from the mountain. Beautiful sight to see!
