Beautiful!
Happiness that comes from within is permanent, as it’s not dependent on experiences and objects that come and go. I have experienced sweet peace or moments of deep gratitude even in the midst of dealing with the challenge of my hearing fluctuating, giving me moments when I have the blessing of hearing and others when the world is a whisper.
This confirms that the Source/Spirit within all of us is always in a place of love and stillness, and we just need to tap into it
Yay! Welcome back! What lovely words. Have you ever wondered if your hearing is challenged for now because there is a greater self that needs to be heard and lived through? I’m always fascinated by the way we all are given these hurdles just so we can get in touch with the true self. It’s lovely to hear your voice again. Thanks for this post.
Yaz, Thank you! You motivated me to write again, so thank you! š I have had problems with my hearing since I was a little girl but it has gotten worse recently. It gets better, then drops, then gets better again. I think in part, YES, I needed to listen to my greater self which I am doing now, and also in releasing fears.
Yes. The well of inner peace is always present . . . when we remain present.
Yes! Imagine, we have the ‘key’ to inner peace by being present. So simple, yet, not always followed.
Those moments come, sometimes, in flitters, like something we catch out of the corner of our eye, gone before we can turn to look! But they’re always there, aren’t they? Glad to see you’re back, writing, Marie! You are always an inspiration to me!
I find sometimes when my mind is quiet, the happiness within floats to the surface, and of course there is also the happiness that comes from gratitude. I was smiling while I was in the van with my s/o, as I was reading your comments on my IpPhone but made a mental note to respond when I got home. The keyboard on the phone is too tiny for easy typing. š Thanks for your support!
thank you for this message Marie…I really needed to take in your words today…. “the Source/Spirit within all of us is always in a place of love and stillness, and we just need to tap into it” ….yes, to keep tapping into it…Marie, thank you so much for your continuing inspirations and reminders…I deeply appreciate them.
You are most welcome, Kathy. Thank you for your continuing encouragement!
I love this quote. It is absolutely true: happiness is making the most of here and now.
Thanks! It’s good to be reminded of this from time to time. š
Marie, tying in with not depending on experiences/acceptance/interactions and having peace in the midst of challenges or reacting…I added a pdf of some advice to the bottom of most recent Reflections post…and explained it in the reply to your comment…. continually going back to that calm spot. (a continuing challenge for me…and others too, I suppose)
ah ha…Marie, I seem to find this post when I’m trying to pass along kind and nurturing words… words that were to me, but of course are the same for others too…added temporarily to the greenhouse in PP… enjoy… : )
