This granny is an inspiration! She has strength, agility and speed that defies her years.
It’s time for me to exercise without complaining. 😉
That’s a fantastic video. I’d love to know when she started practicing that routine! 😀
I just showed it to BFF and we watched a few more videos of her on youtube. She did gymnastics as a kid, competing for the first time at age 10. She was a phys ed teacher for a number of years also.
But she didn’t get serious about gymnastics again until . . . age 56!
Yes! I replied to you without realizing you and BFF found out more. I guess the rest of us need to keep moving, walking to stay healthy and fit.
According to the article she was born into a family of gymnasts and stopped practicing when she got married and had children, but started again at age 56.
On an unrelated note: Tonight’s the night! (Last night and tomorrow night too):

BFF and I just enjoyed a peek at the Planetary Triple of Venus (bottom), Jupiter (left) and Mercury (right) in the night sky just past sunset. We’re going to head out again in a few minutes when the sky is a tad darker.
You should be able to view it tonight and tomorrow at sunset (if clouds don’t get in the way).
Oooh, thank you for this reminder, Nancy. Will mention it to Phil and be on the lookout tonight!
We spotted Venus and Jupiter right away . . . Mercury appeared a minute or two later when the sky darkened a bit more. They are close enough together to see all three at once through binnoculars. Good luck.
How cool! Let’s see if we can catch a glimpse.
Really good post!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
