I was almost done with a WordPress post for today’s entry, had reached the end, spelled checked it and in the process of adding one more sentence, I deleted the entire post! I type very fast and this has happened before: I inadvertently touch the delete key and away it goes forever. Gone are my thoughts back into the world of energy. Aarghh.
“Must save, save when typing” – my new mantra.
A lesson on non-attachment for me? Guess it is, but, venting sure feels good! As Nrhatch (Nancy) (whose blogs I recommend), would say: Aaah… that’s better! 🙂

Veeh, I just liked my post, have no idea how I did this. hehe. Oh, yeah, girl, that was one big Oooops. Better hurry and post this comment before I delete it. LOL.

I write directly into WP.
If I accidentally hit “Send to Trash” . . . it can still be retrieved.
Loved the cartoon.
Thanks for the shout out.
Aah . . . that’s better! 😀

I deleted the text, didn’t send it to trash but good to be aware it can be retrieved if I ever trash an entry.
I love your “Aah… that’s better” when reading your blogs. It feels relaxing, 🙂

I save after every paragraph, so the most I will lose is a paragraph. That’s doable 🙂

Will do this, Tilly. Don’t want to lose my work and get into another rant. 😉

Been there, done that. On most of my programs, I have auto-save, but I can’t find that on WordPress… if you know how to make the computer do that, let me know!

Janet, I sure will let you know! I should really be writing in my Microsoft Word but since it was a spur of the moment short entry, I decided to write directly in WP.

Ohhhh…..frustrating! I’ve been saving as a draft, and then there seems to be an autosave that I can go back to….not sure if that would help. I had difficulties with writing in wordpress yesterday…it seemed like there was a delay in typing and it wouldn’t go to “copy a post” either.
I think you may have had the tooth extraction today? If so, sending healing energy your way….I hope it went okay and that you felt okay during it…. kathy

Hi Kathy, Last night my computer was also misbehaving so it created confusion with my posting in WP. Thanks for the tips as I am a newbiee in WP so always looking to learn. 🙂
I just came home from the dentist, it’s not fun these dental procedures; can’t eat solid food for a couple of days, but thank God there was no pain and everything went well. At least I know my dental health is on its way to being perfect. I did my mantras and felt myself in a warm place. 😉 Thanks for asking and healing energy!

The simple lesson is to save as you write and to use the undo button. It’s happened to me and I bet others. It is incredibly frustrating and like the cartoon above, worth some venting… 😉
sufilight said:
It did feel good to vent a little, LOL. Yes, I should know better and save as I write. Don’t think it will happen to me anytime soon again. 🙂

Oh, I like that! Forgot about Dharma. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

How frustrating! I type my posts in Word first, but often have formatting issues when copying into WP. It seems that nothing can be easy these days (thanks, Technology.)
I hope your post will come back to you in some form.

Janna, that would be nice if the post came back! The mind does work in intriguing ways at times. 🙂
